* La Turbine Sciences in Cran Gevrier, an excellent address for a fun and educational science visit. Open for all the family to discover experiments dedicated to enriching the lives of both the young and old... (3 - 100 years old) A hands-on, immersive and educational experience which allows limitless exploration of the scientific world, and above all learning whilst having fun!

* The Paccard bell museum in Sévrier, the world number 1 producer of church bells and carillons. The Bell Museum exhibits a set of tools, documents, engravings, photos and bells retracing the history of the bell and the PACCARD Foundry.

* The Ecomusée du Bois et de la Forêt in Thônes is also a good place to visit with (or without!) children, which offers an authentic journey through time thanks to a lively and interactive visit to an old water powered sawmill where you can discover the life of the sawyer and his tools, and numerous sawing demonstrations...

Visit a castle

Château de Menthon Saint Bernard, this old fortified castle restored in a neo-Gothic style has been occupied by the same family for almost 1000 years (23 known generations). In low season the castle and its gardens can be visited on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1-5 pm and in July and August every day between 10-7 pm. The castle is located 20 minutes by car from the campsite.

Château de Montrottier in Lovagny, near Annecy is a famous medieval site in the Savoie. You can discover an interactive trail and go on a treasure hunt. The castle is located not far from the Gorges du Fier which are also worth a visit. The gorges are an extraordinary natural phenomenon that can be visited via a footbridge fixed to the side of the rocks.

* Make use of the campsite sauna (reservation required) which is located on the harbour side of the campsite. More information available at the reception.

* At the reception you can borrow board games to spend a pleasant morning or afternoon with your family.

* Have fun together by playing an escape game, laser game or go bowling.

Katapult Park in Albertville offers a laser game as well as a trampoline park where young and old alike can let off steam. For the little ones there is also Cabane Parc, an indoor playground with a ball park.

Not far from Katapult Park is Bowling 3000, aside from the bowling lanes you will find a pool tables and games like air hockey and others.
Right in the city center of Annecy you will find the escape game "Les Mystères du Lac" and "l'Atelier des Enigmes" which will surprise even the most adept escape fans.


* Discover the city and go shopping in Annecy, you can shelter from the rain under the arcades in the old town. You can find many small boutiques but also big name brands in the Courier shopping center and at the Galeries Lafayette. Why not relax in one of the many cafés or a tea rooms or have a bite to eat, Annecy has many restaurants to choose from!

* Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in one of the spas or swimming pools around the lake and enjoy a treatment or massage.

* Visit a dance or music show in Annecy: the auditoriums and stages of Annecy offer many different shows, concerts and plays. There is something for everyone. You can book via this link:

 * In the cinemas in the centre of Annecy you will certainly find what you are looking for: 4 Nemours (place Sainte Claire) and Cinéma Pathé at the Courier shopping centre. Some films will be in the original version (English), VOST means original version with subtitles.

 * Dive into the lake, the campsite’s heated outdoor swimming pool or even one of the indoor public swimming pools in Ugine or Gilly-sur-Isère (swimming cap required, can be purchased on site, swimming briefs required).

* Just 15 minutes from the campsite you can visit the caves and waterfalls of Seythenex. A 40-minute underground guided tour teaches you everything about erosion and the origin of the caves. There are two zip lines that fly over the waterfall. You can eat on site, the restaurant offers tasty daily specials with local produce.

* Go and discover ‘le festival des cabanes’ or the cabin festival which is an architectural festival. Each year, these projects, in the form of models, will be the subject of a competition that takes place from January 1 to March 25, then a selection of the best ones will be chosen by a jury of architects. After the competition the cabins will be built in 7 villages around the lake, all that is left to do is go and admire them.
